The Farm Jam 07

Hey Y'all

Dan's asked me to write my take on 'The Farm Jam 07'... Well fair to say I am pretty biased, but also fair to say a hug amount of people who were there would agree... It was bloody epic...

The Farm Jam is something Brett and I have been building towards for a few years now, firstly having our crew gatherings in previous years, we realised we were onto a good thing.. We had put in a huge amount of work building up
the courses, sussing out our wicked sponsorship partners, and praying to the weather gods!!

So we were stoked to be able to pull it off without too much hassle, and still managed to ride in the event also, which was fun.. ( the whole idea ) The weather just held out, but not quite enough for a few people who had aborted mission early thinkin it would be rained off ( aye Dan n Tristan!!)
Unfortunately there wasnt too much practice due to rain the day before, but it didnt take the lads too long to suss out the fresh courses and start to terrorise!!

The Moto was wicked, was so good to see the track working well and hear peoples comments on it, Tim Watson from Wellington was the man of the day, showing off his mad skills, and local lad Blake O'connar was terrorising the course!! As well as Dan showing his Local knowledge. There were about 12 riders in total, so action was aplenty, with plenty of different styles out there!

The Small dirt jumps held the BMX / Hardtail Mounty sessions, which was amazing, the vibe was soo good, with action everywhere, BMXicans kickin it were were Brad Greenslades styles, and Christchurch crew Jeremy Gray an Robbie Browns mad skills.. On the Hardtail there were too many rippers to mention, although Kelly McGarry was ruling it, flips, 3's, Barrel Rolls, say no more.. not to forget Eddie, Brett, Beaver, Finney, Foz, Seb etc etc....

The Big Mounty line was off the hook, noone had really ridden the jumps so after a slow intro the boys started to dominate, Chris Beverlands Massive Flips, Kelly rulin everyhthing, and Bretts wicked 3's were awesome, as well as all the rest of the lads awesome individual styles.

The Pitbike racing too was wicked fun, about 15 lads caning around a rolly grass paddock, I dont think anyone came back without grass stains, was funny times alright!!!

Huuuuuuuuuuge thanks to all our helpers on the day, you know without you it wouldnt have run so smoothly, and to all our wicked sponnos, and the Mags that covered it..

Planning is well under way to make 'The Farm Jam 08' even bigger and better, so make sure ya make the journey south...
28 Dec...

Cheers, Brett and Dan Frew
